Geography & Local Tours
- Coach trip Johnstone to Howwood Circa 1955
- In the first part of the video a coach leaves from outside the Cecil chippy (Sandros) then makes its way up the high street, MacDowall Street and on to Howwood. The second part shows a tour of Johnstone. Sadly not great quality.
- NLS video of Renfrewshire Foxhunt pre WW2
- This video from the National Library of Scotland Screen Archive shows a selection of local foxhunt meetings throughout Renfrewshire. The date is not stated but is certainly pre WW2. You can see Johnstone Castle in the background in some of the scenes.
- McCrimmon Family from Johnstone
- The McCrimmon films of Johnstone were left by the family at Paisley Museum and were recently digitised following efforts by the Paisley Camcorder Club to preserve local film history. It depicts many aspects of local life.
